my creative space

I have been spying lovely garlands and necklaces around blogland and have been learning some different hooky ways late at night.  Consistency with tension and finishing off are my stumbling blocks.  Little bit like life really.  Wouldn't it be great to have a little crochet buddy to sit down and learn properly.

Little bunting pieces that I think I will gift to my sister.  She has had a rough time of late.  We will stay a few days in Leura on the way home to be with her.  Think I might cry  when I see her.

Off to explore other creative peeps here.

p.s sorry I was meaning to include the star pattern was adapted from Panda "Summer Crochet" pattern book.  They had it made into a thong  (Aussie version that is). Mmm maybe  not for me.  Made with Panda 4ply cotton.  The bunting is simply made using double crochet (UK) and decreasing the stitch after each row.  Easy peasy.  The flower pattern were found at amazing Lucy's blog, Attic 24.

Gorgeee! I just cant crochet, one of my fingers hates it with a passion. I do do a little teeny mini crochet flowers on my embroidery needle at times, but thats as much as Mr finger can cope with!

Love the bunting, it's so cute & I'm sure your sister will adore it.

Have you tried to join a crochet group near you?? I joined a knitting group when I moved interstate & I love it!

Hi Jill they are both very cute items, the dottie angel colouring of the bunting is very pretty and the patterns of the scarf very clever. I am sure your sister will appreciate your TLC.

Hi Jill,

Your creativity is becoming so unique. The bunting is really pretty and feminine, you have a good sense of colour and what goes with what. It's going to be lovely to watch your craft journey. Does your pulse quicken when you see a haberdashery store in a little country town?
I'm sorry about your sister, in tough times having a shoulder to lean on is the best thing. Your visit is probably coming at the right time plus a toddler running around always lifts a household, it'll be good.
Have a lovely day,
Vickixx
