I dreamed of being Doris and growing up and having my own secret love. Sitting with my Mum on Saturday afternoon, after spending all morning cleaning the house doing the washing, watching tellie then there would always be a classic, Elvis or Doris.

I do love me some Doris! Fantastic. Thanks for Rewinding at the Fibro - and for playing along so nicely. :-)

I remember the first time I watched this. Dad was away hunting (!!), and my mum and sister and I watched this in the loungeroom. I was about 6, and I wanted to be calamity Jane, and fix up that old shack, and get the guy.
Love Doris, love a midday movie. A girl after my own heart. :)

Oh! I adore this song. A great many years ago (WAY before I met my husband!) I saw this Doris Day movie (tis a fave of mine) whilst recovering from a broken heart. CRIED my eyes out at Doris. And then felt a weight lift off my shoulders and I moved on from that moment.

Doris has that power!

I remember the Doris Day films on TV so well! I loved them. It's ages since I saw any. Memories brought back.

You can't beat a little bit of Doris. This song is up there with Sugar Town for making me feel happy just because! x
