In our house, Lucy Cousins reigns supreme. I never thought I'd say it, but thank heavens for chain stories and repeat characters. They really and truly become dear friends. Other than that, I've found my little one has a really affinity for experiences and issues books. She likes books to be about something she can relate to; likewise she relates any new experience to something that she has read. Now that she selects her own books at the library we pretty much read anything and everything.

But Lucy really is our homegirl!
