on my mind
Somehow and I am so baffled why our mornings now start at 4am. I have always wanted to be a morning person. Trying to keep positive and make allowances so we can move through this phase with some grace.
Extreme early rising does take some getting used to, especially in winter, but it's worth it. :- )
Regarding indigenous names in your previous post, when I was working in remote WA in the 1970s, I met several Elvis Presleys, and two lovely women called Sipa Brandy and Polly Oodlebugger. I love how they picked their names for the sound of them or for who they admired.
Hello again Jill. Bit cool to be up early this time of the year but I agree. You can definitely think more clearly and get more done. I'm done by lunch time and know that I only have the evening bath and bed routine to get through.
Hello Jill, I have had a run of 4.30am or 5am starts... and very early nights to match. I do send my wee man back to bed, then back to bed and back to bed again (and so on) until 6am. When my older two were little this sort of early start used to bother me a lot but I am so much more patient with the twins... I know it'll pass... by the time they are 14 anyway!!
My children have never woken before 7a.m. which is great, i wake up with them, but now they're hitting those sleepy teenage hormones, OMG, you need a crow bar to get them out of bed & up for the day. I want to adjust to 5.45a.m. & hit the gym at 6, i'll get there, the cold doesn't scare me off, love Posie (sorry it's anonymous, Blogger won't let me sign in)
oh my goodness, I can completel relate to this! All 3 of our boys have gone through this horrid stage...infact every now & then the little guy still does!
I can cope with a few early mornings, but not all the time. My alarm goes off at 6am week days, I can get up at 3 or 4am to go to the airport, I can get up at 4.30-5am to go to a run event, but it's not a natural state for me.
When my son was small he would get up at 5am. By then I had another baby who was feeding on demand. This is when we gave in to the world of video and DVD.
Well..there's mornings..and very early mornings. I love mornings, that is from about 6 am onwards, but 4 am is a bit early for me! I hope it's only temporary for you.
that is early. and I thought we had it bad! My littlest guy gets up at 5am, it is so cold and dark at that time these days, oooh it's tough...Obviously I am not the only one dealing with this though! Wishing you (a perhaps optimistic?) sleep in tomorrow
My son was a 5 to 5.30 am boy from the day he was born. Then it moved to 6 to 6.30 when he started school. He use to come home from school so tired. Now he is in grade four we are getting 7 to 7.30am wake ups. He has his own body clock. Also is an early to bed boy can't stay up all night. But my husband and I are early morning people.

My day starts at 3:30 AM so I can definitely sympathize with the adjustment it takes. But I love being off work by lunch time everyday.

Have a great day.

My days start at 6 a.m. which is definitely better than 4 a.m. or 3:30 a.m. I promise I won't complaint any more ;-)
I am an early riser but not quite as early as you, that would take some adjustment. :)
EEEK!
Now I like early morning with the rest of you but that's still night time!

Wow - that is SO early! I'll never be a morning person although I've always wished I was one. Those morning sunrises must make it worth it.... xx
I am sooooo NooooT an early riser.
I have forced my boys to sleep in till 7.15 each day. So far it's worked but I think the Munchkin is going to test me once he hits a big boy bed...
