Do you know I've never seen this movie in entirety? I will rectify that though, perhaps on the weekend. That scene gave me a feeling to read some of the Bronte's writings. I remember Jane Campion being interviewed at release time and I had to stop what I was doing to listen. I loved how she thinks. I'd like to see 'Bright Star' about Keats and his all consuming love of Fanny Brawne. Now, that, is a fascinating and romantic story. Vickixx
Feeling a bit nostalgic. One of my favourite scenes from one of my favourite movies.
ReplyDeleteahhh, I love this film. I taught this to students for years and never grow tired of it.

I just watched it again about 2 weeks ago. It's gut wrenching!
ReplyDeleteIt was beautifully made wasn't it?
